Also, creating a new student organization is a fairly manageable task, so any Liberal Studies students interesting in creating a club for our majors should inquire about the process in the Liberal Studies office.

National Evaluation Series
Pearson Education invites any students preparing to become educators to contribute to the development of the NES® (National Evaluation Series) teacher certification testing program.
According to their promotional literature, the NES is a new, contemporary, 100 percent computer-based teacher certification testing program that covers content and pedagogy areas including essential academic skills, professional knowledge, and commonly taught elementary, middle, and secondary grade-level subjects. A list of test fields can be found at http://www.nestest.com/tests_fields.asp.
NES encourages future teachers to participate in the pilot test for the NES. Pilot testing will be available between October 2009 and April 2010 at Pearson VUE Centers across the country. For a limited time, they're advertising multiple cash and guft prizes worth up to $160.00 for each pillot test completed. Visit http://www.pearsonvue.com/nes to register.
