Upper Division Advising Sheet and Course Sequence for Math Focus

Upper Division Advising Sheet and Course Sequence for Science Focus
To view/download an advising sheet and suggested course sequence chart for the upper division of the Science Focus, click on this link. [this is a new sequence chart, revised May 2012]

NOTE: Some of the requirements in the Science Focus will be waived (effective May 2012) by petition (students should see an adviser). One consequence of this change is that the focus no longer embeds all of the requirements for a middle school introductory subject matter authorization (ISMA). Students who would like to qualify for the ISMA in science should use this worksheet to determine the additional requirements they'll need to satisfy.

Foundational Level General Science preparation: Students interested in teaching only science can follow the Foundational Level General Science (FLGS) requirements in preparation for a single subject credential in science. The FLGS advising sheet lists the requirements.

Uncertain about how to proceed in the Science Focus? Refer to this handout [coming soon] for guidance.
