Walk-in Advising

stock imageAfter the initial advising appointment, students no longer need to make an appointment to see an adviser. All subsequent face-to-face advising is done on a walk-in basis. Students should keep in mind, however, that walk-in advising is limited to certain days and times. Ordinarily, walk-in times are Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the morning and early afternoon. Consult the Liberal Studies home page for updates to this general schedule.

Please keep in mind that because walk-in advising is on a first come, first served basis, there can be significant wait times during especially busy periods (when class schedules are announced, the first week of the semester, etc.). Students who plan ahead and come in for walk-in advising during off-peak periods, on the other hand, rarely have to wait to see an adviser.

Students with advising files already set up can also use the email advising option.
